It could not be going any better–thank you everyone (Zalfa, Sue, Fio, Tom, and all volunteers and helpers; Laressa, Shana, Jim, and Zach; all you wonderful conferees; Adrian at reception at the Trent Building; well-wishers near and far; reading/Q&A attendees (and Wayne for emceeing); Mark et al. at Metro for graciously hosting us Thursday and Friday).

We’re looking forward, with excitement & exhaustion, to round two. See you in the morning!

Parking for conference & events

From the University website:

Pay and display car parking for visitors is available on the east side of the Trent Building (in front of the building as you approach it, with the lake to your LH side and the clock tower ahead.)

Many students, staff and visitors cycle onto the campus and bike parks are also available outside the Trent Building on both the east and west sides of the building.

There is also parking near the Angear Visitors Centre, where the Sunday reading will be held.

In Beeston, the nearest car park to Metro is the Derby Street Shoppers Car Park, which offers 1 hour free parking.

This reading will be interpreted in British Sign Language.

To the 35 people who are taking a chance on four days of poetry with us this July. We’re excited to meet you and to get to know you and to read and write and think with you.

Ticket sales are now closed. You can still purchase tote bags in our shop (and at the conference itself, of course!).

a little more time

Hi there, ticket-seekers and ticketholders.

So, our ‘official’ deadline for ticket sales is tonight. But we’ve had a couple of requests recently for a little more time. With that in mind, we’ll cut you this deal: ticket sales will be open until further notice–further notice being most likely early this week, once all existing orders have been processed and mailed out. You can buy a ticket here.

Ticketholders: you should receive your ticket (which is your registration packet) by July 1. The registration materials include information about workshop locations, your schedule (marked in red), things to do in Beeston and Nottingham, places to stay and eat, information about finding the conference, and a map.

Oh, and hey! LeftLion features an interview by Caroline Edwards with Laressa Dickey.
